Newsletter

Save Sag Harbor’s free online newsletter has over 1,700 subscribers. The newsletter provides subscribers with regular updates about important Village meetings, continuous coverage of local news of interest and import, and a calendar of local cultural, entertainment, and outdoor events. If you are interested in receiving our newsletter, please email us at info@savesagharbor.com.

Village Meetings

Save Sag Harbor representatives cover monthly Village board meetings to support our elected, volunteer, and hired leadership in providing open government and in protecting due process, to exercise our rights as citizens to know and to be heard, and to receive up-to-date news about development projects, legislative or leadership changes, or any decision that might negatively impact Sag Harbor’s historic landscape, streetscape, personal architectural scale, or unique and vibrant quality of life.

We encourage all residents to attend meetings, particularly those of special interest or importance, so that their voices and opinions may be heard. We include meeting reports in our newsletter on an "as needed" basis and are always seeking volunteers to help us record information and details that can be included or incorporated. If you are interested in participating, please email us at info@savesagharbor.com. You can review the calendar of village meetings at www.sagharborny.gov.

Alliances

Save Sag Harbor partners with other organizations in joint efforts to educate and inform the community about important issues. We lend financial support to the Sag Harbor Express “Express Sessions.” In March 2019, we were lead sponsors of a panel-discussion event held at Bay Street Theater that addressed the changing face of Main Street to a packed audience. One of our board members, Barbara Roberts, was a panelist whose focus was on the importance of comprehensive planning.

Every year, we sponsor a Meet the Candidates Forum with the Sag Harbor Express to provide the community with an opportunity to listen to and to engage with prospective leaders about issues of consequence.
